Dr. Amelia Rauch
Dr. Amelia Gonzalez Rauch grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2016. She then earned her doctorate from A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020, where she was classmates with Dr. Mike. She began her career in Austin, Texas at a small animal clinic while also filling in at rural clinics in the area. After marrying Dr. Mike in 2022, she began working with him at a mixed animal practice in La Grange, Texas. In 2023, Amelia began working at a small animal and exotics focused practice in Brighton, England where she gained valuable experience in emergency and critical care, along with experiencing life in a new country. She and Dr. Mike moved back to Texas in 2024 and decided to make Boerne their home before welcoming their first son. Amelia’s interests include preventative medicine, surgery, and pet owner education. She loves spending time with her patients and getting to know their families!
Dr. Mike Rauch
Dr. Mike Rauch grew up in Frisco, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences and is also a 2020 graduate of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where he met Dr. Amelia. After graduation, he spent three years working at a mixed-animal practice in La Grange, Texas. He then spent a year working in England as a farm animal vet traveling the West Sussex countryside before settling in Boerne to start a family and fulfill his career goal of opening a veterinary clinic. He and Dr. Amelia have a one-and-a-half year-old son and are excited to welcome their second baby boy this summer. He enjoys surgery and connecting with his clients. He is excited to meet you and your animals!
